I am using following command which shows each lines result on screen, but we are getting massage in between as skipping non-regular file rsync -vrpgt etcvmail backupoldetcconf What changes should we make to get incremental backup without skipping any single file. We need that none of the files should be skipped, so what option should be used with rsync. We were using avz option and it was also working fine but now we need to get working vrpgt because this doesnt contain any parameter which skip files. Or please let us know what parameters should we skip or use which will give backup including timestamp, permissions and ownership Please update us. So, -a wiIl preserve permissions, ownérship and modification timés. You need tó run rsync ás root in ordér for this tó work as éxpected.
